What’s this Tassie Session about?

DERBY: THE TASSIE SESSION.

We don’t really like the word retreat. By definition, it’s an act of ‘moving back’. What A Sesh is about slowing down. We adhere to the notion that slowly is the fastest way to get where you want to go. The goal of The Tassie Session is to help you Slow Down (also our favourite workshop). Everyone who has been to a What A Sesh will tell you this isn’t a retreat. It kind of feels like a bunch of good mates going away to run, eat well, and discuss life’s important matters. When your brain gets tired of thinking, there’s a river to jump into and a sauna to melt in.

WHY: 
Running is the vehicle that brings us all together. Once a few beads of sweat start rolling, the walls drop, and we quickly see that we’re not all that different. Running is how we start our day and sometimes end it (A second jog is always optional). The six workshops delivered on The Tassie Session give you the tools to create clarity in your life and build a launch pad for the next chapter. We find it wild looking at the What A Sesh alumni and what they’ve achieved. We’re so proud. The family is big, and our hugs are long.

WHO: You! (Obviously).

WHEN: Nov 20 - 24. Bring your legs.Pack your favourite pen. Take your holidays. Organise a babysitter. Shift your plans. This is likely going to be the best part of your 2024.

WHAT: 7 Workshops. All the classics with some new twists and questions for good measure. Morning runs, two workshops most days, a sauna session at The Derby Floating Lake Sauna, an in-house chef and media team, delicious dinners, and coffee shops nearby if you don’t want to sharpen your barista skills. Wifi-available. All meals included. Meditations, journalling, river dips, mountain biking if you dare. We love the Tassie Session.

HOW: There are 12 beds available at The Dales of Derby. It’s a first-in, first-served situation. There will be two mixed dorm rooms with 6 single beds each.

We recommend arriving in Launceston on the 19th of November but if you’re pressed for time, the 20th works too.

How many fun tokens do you need to exchange?
